YouTube demonetizes popular channel over 5-second video on Luigi MangioneA YouTube channel named 5secondfilms (or “5SF”) has been demonetized by YouTube for sharing a five-second-long video on Luigi Mangione. The channel, with almost 400,000 subscribers typically produces skits and meme-centric videos that last… well, 5 seconds. Despite the short duration, the channel ended up facing repercussions for sharing a video supporting Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old Ivy League graduate who is charged with the murder of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare.
The video believed to have caused the demonetization was a comedic skit, where Luigi is depicted in jail with Santa letting him know he’s at the top of the “nice list.”
